Town of Narrows
In accordance with Section 15.1-427 of the Code of Virginia, the Town of Narrows has established a zoning ordinance in order to achieve he delicate balance between the individual property owners rights and the health, safety, and general welfare of the public by reasonabling restriction. A zoning permit is required when there is a new structure built, an addition to an existing structure, or a storage building placed on a citizen's property. Zoning permits may be obtained at the Narrows Municipal Office, and there is a fee of $15.00 for the permit. An application for a Certificate of Zoning Compliance can be downloaded by clicking on the link below. The completed application needs to be turned in to the Town office in order to receive a permit. A zoning permit must be obtained before a building permit can be issued by the County of Giles.

All policies and procedures described above are set forth in the Narrows Town Code and are approved by the Narrows Town Council. Therefore, no variances from these standard practices will be made by Town staff.
