Building Permits

Residents performing any type of construction, whether it be interior or exterior, are required to obtain a building permit.  Building permits can be obtained at the Narrows Municipal Office, and the fee for the permit is $15.15.  The Town of Narrows handles building permits for those jobs involving sewer and/or water lines.  Building permits related to all other types of construction should be obtained through the County of Giles.  An Application for Plan Examination and Building Permit can be downloaded by clicking on the link below.  The completed appication must be turned in to the Town office in order to obtain a permit.

All policies and procedures described above are set forth in the Narrows Town Code and are approved by the Narrows Town Council.  Therefore, no variance from these standard practices will be made by Town staff.
